FIRE PROJECTS During the Easter holiday we explored how fires can be started and used for cooking. We also talked about how dangerous fire can be, how careful you must be with it and never to start a fire without an adult present! FIRE SAW This is a traditional way of starting a fire still used in some primitive societies. We couldn't quite get a fire started but we made clouds of smoke!
COOKING OVER AN OPEN FIRE Everyone helped to build an open fire and then we cooked sausages and made hot-dogs. Delicious!
Jackie organised the projects and they were observed as part of her NVQ assessment. She prepared a full risk assessment before starting to ensure everyone's safety. INSIDE THE CLOISTERS
